Eligibility Requirements to adopt are listed below;

Inactive status or Retired Status Adopters Qualify

No Active Duty Veterans are eligible to adopt

• We are a Parrot Adoption Agency​ for Veterans and their immediate family
• *We Will Not Ship Any Parrot
• ​You must qualify to adopt after submitting your application
• *All Adopters Must be between the minimum age of 26  to adopt.
• Adopters must be the head of the household* (No Exceptions)
• *If you are over 60 years of age, don’t worry! We simply require those applicants over 60 to have two backup guardians for their adopted parrot.

• ​You must meet and greet​ any​ adoptable parrots​ before adoption.

Please understand that Parrots For Patriots will not place any parrot in a home with any;

Husky Dogs, Dachshund or Terrier mix dogs

• Without Pre-approval of any of these dogs in question

• To help us manage our process efficiently.
