Houdini AKA Hootie is one Awesome, and very sweet boy. Hooty earned his name from the Great Houdini, the escape artist. Hootie, will do anything to give you a hug. Even break out of his cage if you don’t lock it! He is a true bundle of Love and affection. He likes to move slowly with everything he does.
Hootie is a very gentle 21 year old boy, who needs someone who will be very gentle with him. We hope Hootie can find an experienced parrot home to give him the love and care he deserves. Hootie likes both men and women, as long as they are very nice to him. Although we feel he would do best with an experienced lady handler. Umbrella Cockatoos can live up to 50+ years, and with the correct diet and care and environment.
Houdini has had a bit of a jaded past, and he is seeking his forever home. We prefer to place Houdini in a home with just a few pets, preferably a low traffic home with a calm environment. We will not place Houdini with anyone living in an apartment, Duplex, condo, motor home or trailer park. Umbrella Cockatoos can be vocal at times and most neighbors won’t tolerate the cries of an Umbrella Cockatoo. You must have a house.
