We will no longer answer any questions in advance without one of our adoption applications in hand. We normally respond back within 1 to 6 hours of receipt of your application. *We will only place Louie with an experienced macaw handler. No Breeders need to apply. Buffon Macaws are rare, and Louie is a docile domesticated baby. Louie has been spoiled all of his life, he currently weighs over 1400 grams, and he is just 10 years old and very sweet. Louie loves to cuddle, and he is a bit of a Hamm and he thrives with the company of another macaw. So Louie will not do well in a home by himself as the only macaw. So, if you don’t currently have a macaw, please don’t apply to adopt Louie. We will place him with a second macaw that we have here Louie loves his cage and swing so his cage must be placed with him.
Louie does speak a few words, garbled. We feel that he will speak more, once he gets settled into his new home.
