Bradda’ = (Hawaiian for Brother) Yes Bradda is from Hawaii, and he is one Rambunctious Male Moluccan Cockatoo. Bradda’ prefers men, and will tolerate women, but he thrives with the company of a man.
Bradda’ is a young 14 YO boy, who also likes the company of a small dog or any dog, so he can taunt, play with and feed treats too. But if you don’t have a dog, that’s no problem. If you’ve seen the video of a barking bird, then you get the idea of his personality.
Bradda’ dose speak, clearly he says of “hello bird”, “Bradda bird”, “I love you”, “hello” and many other undecipherable words. We feel with the right new handler, that Bradda’ can learn to speak a lot more with time and patience.
Bradda’ needs a home where he will be allowed to play out of his cage most of the Day, or as much as he can. He is a bit of a mischievous boy, he likes to roam free through the house and play with dog toys, and anything he can roll around, so he Must be supervised, at all times while he’s out of the cage.
Bradda’ is a bit of a Hamm too, he’s known to chase the dog with his headdress Crest flying high, having a wonderful time crying out loud laughing. The dog is not amused. Bradda’ can be a high maintenance parrot at times, he thrives to play and get as much attention as possible.
With this understanding, he can be vocal during different times of the day. Bradda’ is an energetic boy who loves all the attention he can get. When Bradda’ is in his cage, he prefers to shred paper, cardboard, Paper towel rolls, toilet paper rolls, stuffed animals and he loves to chew wood. Bradda is a sensitive boy that loves to cuddle and seek approval from his handler.
He enjoys outside time and loves to take regular baths.
Although Bradda’s adoption fee is very reasonable and includes his cage, we still must conduct a home visit, as promised to his past owner and we can also deliver his large cage too.
