Gracie is a hand tame female Umbrella Cockatoo seeking an educated parrot homeowner to adopt her.
Gracie is one very tame and gentile Umbrella Cockatoo. We have been told that she is a female, which may be true, we are unsure of her age. We’ve learned that older female Cockatoos sometimes have a change in their eye color from amber, to a darker eye. Gracie has been with us just for a short month, and she’s already growing her feathers back. Gracie was rescued from a garage with 5 other birds. She loves being next to the kitchen or living room. Anywhere threes people, and she’s then content.
Gracie is one of the quietest Cockatoos that we have ever had over these past 30 years. Although she doesn’t know the step up command, she sure knows how to cuddle and loves it. She’s playful and gets along well with other birds, and loves everybody.
Gracie loves to cuddle and playing toss games, and can be trusted out of het cage on top as long as she is supervised. Gracie does garble talk a bit, and we feel with a little time and patients, she can learn how to talk more.
Gracie will be placed with her medium size white cage and toys. If you’re interested in adopting Gracie now, we need to let you know, that we will only place Gracie into a home that is a house. We prefer to place Gracie in a rural home or a home with a yard and no close neighbors. So needless to say we will not accept applications from adopters that live in an apartment, condo or duplex.
Only if you’re ready to adopt Gracie within the next 72 hours, then please don’t call us or email us with any questions in advance. Sorry, we decline to return voicemails or emails with questions. We’ve discovered, serious adopters will fill out our application first. All questions will be answered only after we receive your adoption application within 24 hours.
We prefer to place Gracie with a homeowner, although homeownership isn’t mandatory, but you must live in a house, it’s Acceptable if you rent or lease your home. You just need 2 years of current residency at your house to adopt Gracie.
We’ve discovered, serious adopters fill out our application first. All questions will be answered only after we receive your adoption application. *Please restrain from, emailing us or calling us in advance. We frown upon calls before applications in hand.
