Cisco is one unbelievable African Grey; he is one of the best talkers that we have had in over 25 years. Has a very large vocabulary of Over 100 words and phrases. Cisco is a male Congo African Grey who has been with the same lady his entire life. All day, his past owner spent all day talking with him all day long as his companion. That’s one of the reasons why he talks so much and will hold on a conversation with you all day long.
Cisco starts off with greeting you in the morning with say time to uncover the cage. Then will hold a conversation with you throughout the day. Here is a small list of some of the things he will say throughout the day.
(Sneezing, blowing nose, coughing, clearing throat, car noise, truck backing up, siren wailing, dammit is his favorite swear word, but he has said them all at one time or another if he drops a toy, dog barking, cat’s meow, clucking chicken, gobbling turkey, talks in my voice, calls me Mommy and if I am late with food will demand Mommy, come here! Wanta’ Cookie, , time to go to bee, time to cover, – take cover off( IN the morning) knows old phone numbers 472-0152, 331-16504, 333-0000 (Parker Insurance ), and mixes them up, can count to 5 but throws in 789 in no particular order, calls me by my name because he listens in on phone calls and talks in the background, my kids’ names – Sarah, Michelle, Michael, baby sitter’s name – Veronica and 3 days, the length of trips I took, has telephone conversations by himself, hums to classic rocks songs, bobs his head to music, laughs before the laugh track at comedy shows, Talks to Baby , my cockatoo, tells Max no,no,no, don’t do that, calls fruit melon, he doesn’t like me right after I get a haircut, says Okay, are you okay?, good morning, time for bed, Gonna’ be dark soon, see you tomorrow or in the morning, makes star war sounds, wolf whistles, shave and a haircut whistle, watch out! (Over 15 other 5+ word sentences-) and so much more, laughing at jokes on time of the punchline. Etc. cetera.)
Cisco also loves to watch TV with anyone and will laugh at the right time a joke is being told during sitcoms and stand up comedians. He also likes to watch the Nature channel, Cartoons, News, Game Shows, and Sitcoms and just about anything on TV. He enjoys Classic Rock music on the radio.
Cisco loves to be handed treats throughout the day. He also loves fresh steamed veggies and fruit & veggies as well as cooked foods. Veggie Pasta dishes are his favorite.
Some parrot handling experience is preferred to adopt, but not necessary, he is very tame, and his adoption fee includes his cage. We’d prefer to place Cisco with a homeowner, but homeownership isn’t a mandatory requirement to adopt him. But the commitment of a lifetime of loving care is needed him.
