Zoey is a very smart bird who is just 20 years old and has a preference for women. Although we were initially told Zoey might be female, we feel that Zoey could be a male.
Zoey is a big talker! She came to us with feather loss, but she has now grown back most of the feathers on her bare chest. Photos coming soon.
Zoey is hand-tame and has an expanded vocabulary of over 50 words. She says “Welcome home,” “Hello,” “Bye-bye,” occasionally asks for “fresh water,” and will sometimes call out “fire!”
Zoey also says “Welcome home,” “Come on,” and “Do you want to dance?” She mimics the microwave and other sounds as well.
Zoey is not available for foster care, only for adoption. Her placement includes a new A&E white floor cage and a generous care package valued at over $500. More photos coming soon.
If you’re ready to adopt Zoey, please fill out our adoption application after 11/08, and we will get back to you within 24 hours.
