The first step to adopting Simon is to fill out our adoption application.
Simon is a spirited 27-year-old male African Grey who truly lives up to his namesake, “Simon Says.” He can learn new words in just a few hours and is highly intelligent. Simon has a great appetite for his daily fresh chop and loves all types of veggies too.
When Simon came to us, he was completely feather-plucked. However, with lots of attention and TLC over the past few months, he’s grown back most of his feathers. He also enjoys dancing with his companions and roommates at least once a week.
Simon has an extensive vocabulary of over 30 words and phrases, and he understands a few sentences too. He even calls the dogs! He’s learned to mimic nearly everything we’ve taught him in a short amount of time, especially his foster mom’s voice to perfection.
He will ask for fresh water and makes a variety of other sounds, including some he’s learned from another African Grey he’s been living with.
We’ve grown very fond of Simon, so we’re looking for a special person who will continue giving him the TLC he’s accustomed to and deserves.
We’ve provided Simon with a brand new white A&E cage with a play top. His adoption also includes a new parrot carrier and our generous care package valued at over $500.
Yes, Simon is hand tame and sweet.
