We discovered that Buddy, is one Very sweet Military Macaw. For the last 9 years, he was a cage companion of Amelia, an 11 year old Female Greenwing Macaw, and they have been together for the past 10 years. We noticed that when they were housed in the same cage, they jousted a lot. Amelia, is the instigator of the two, and dominant over Buddy. Grabbing treats, and being aggressive when their veggies were served.
So we separated the two into two large 40” wide cages. We immediately discovered that they we both happier this way. When their out in the aviary, they perch next to each other and play a bit. We feel confident that they will do fine on their own without each other. If possible, we would like to place them together for a reduced adoption fee. They had been accustomed to playing on a tree together all day at their old home. Now, they seem to be fine separated.

Buddy’s low adoption fee is includes a New Manzanita T” perch and his large cage. We also have a reduced adoption fee if you also adopt his old friend  Amelia, an 11 Year old Female Greenwing Macaw.*(Special Adoption fee) Submit in your application for all details.
