Chicka is a wonderful sweet girl who desires the affection of a male human companion. Senegal parrots are known as a shoulder hound parrot. This wonderful clingy parrot originates from West Africa, and can be great companions for a single person or small family. Although Chicka prefers men, she will do well in a small environment, with a small family that offers a low traffic home. Chicka has a small vocabulary of about a dozen words. She is a quick learner, very inquisitive, and thrives for the attention she deserves. Chicka also mimics the sounds of  six wild birds and over a dozen other sounds. She truly is a joy.

Preferences: We recommend that Chicka’s new home be a low traffic home with little or no competition for attention from other pets or children. We prefer to have her placed with someone over 26 years of age. She will offer someone a lot of good companionship. Though it is not necessary, we prefer to re-home her within 50 miles of Vancouver, Washington.
