Clydee is a very special girl. For only being 31 years old, she’s a bit feeble. She needs a man who is gentle, kind, and patient with her—someone who understands her special needs. Clydee is a very affectionate Blue-and-Gold Macaw, but she needs someone who will be careful and attentive with her.

In her previous home, Clydee had a wonderful life with her human companion until the last few years of his life. She was rescued after being found living in a large metal bin in a woodshop, where she had laid multiple eggs during her final years there. Sadly, she appeared to have been somewhat neglected.

Since coming to us, Clydee has been under veterinary care for the past year, and we have worked closely with her to help her regain her strength. She is still a little wobbly when she walks and likes to hold onto your shirt for support as you walk together. She does not require any additional veterinary care—she simply needs lots of love, patience, and good TLC.

Again, Clydee needs a man who understands her special needs and is committed to providing the specialized diet she has become accustomed to. We also prefer someone with experience caring for macaws.

Clydee’s adoption fee includes her New large 40″ wide × 30″ deep dome-top A&E cage, along with a large care package valued at over $600. A new large Manzanita Tree from our website is also available at a discounted price.
