Cubby is a sweet tame 30+ year old boy who loves all. You really won’t need much experience with macaws to adopt Cubby, he is very timid and easy going. He will make someone a Great companion We will Not place him with someone who lives in a duplex or apartment. You must live in a house. Cubby likes men and women, and isn’t bothered by other birds or roaming animals in the house. Cubby likes being in view of the kitchen, either from his cage or large T perch, He really likes to ask for a few treats or samples or two of what dinner will be like. Needless to say, Cubby wants to be part of the flock, and enjoys eating his steamed veggies with company.
Cubby, now has a new, larger used cage. He didn’t want to go back into the old cage he had for the past 2 years. So, Cubby cage is a whopping 40” wide and 30” Deep, and stands very tall at 6’-2”, that has a playpen on top that holds 2 bowls for water and treats. Cubby also prefers to be in sight of his handler. He has been accustomed to perch on one of our large manzanita T, perches, it’s built on 3 “wheels for easy rolling. We make these large T perches, and we have them available to our adopters for a reasonable cost.
