Fred is a young 13 year old male Citron Cockatoo who likes both men and women, but seems to prefer men over women. Like all Cockatoos.
Fred has his moments when he can be loud. So because Cockatoos have this reputation of being loud at times, we won’t be able to have him be rehomed into an apartment, condo or mobile home park. We prefer to place Fred with someone who is in a house, preferably someone who has property.
Fred will be a little skittish at first, he is tame but once he gets to know you he warms up quite well. Fred needs an experienced Cockatoo owner. Cockatoos can be loud at times, so we will only place Fred
Fred does speak a little bit (10+ words), we feel that he will talk more once he adjust to his new home. Fred loves to Dance to rhythmic music too. We are seeking an experienced parrot handler to adopt him. We prefer someone with Cockatoo experience, but experience isn’t mandatory, but the commitment to adopt his new forever home is important.
Fred’s onetime special Veterans adoption fee is just 150.00 which includes his cage.
An additional delivery fee will be added if you live more than 100 miles away from Portland, Oregon. You must visit meet Fred first before any guarantee of adoption.
