Oliver is a bright semi-tame, curious boy whose only been with us a few months, but in that short time, he’s formed a special friendship with Eddie, a charming Yellow-Naped Amazon. While we’re not certain of Eddie’s age—or even his confirmed gender from his previous owner—one thing is clear: these two adore each other!
Although they each have their own cages (and we do not recommend housing them together), they love being side by side. When separated for walks to and from the aviaries, they call out for each other until reunited—it’s truly heartwarming to see their bond.
Oliver and Eddie enjoy a healthy diet of fresh chopped veggies and the occasional serving of cooked food. They’re full of personality, often chatting back and forth in their own “parrot talk,” keeping everyone around them entertained.
We’re looking for an experienced Amazon handler who can give this pair the love, attention, and enrichment they deserve. Eddie’s previous owner was a woman, and he tends to respond best to a female handler, though an experienced male caretaker should have no trouble bonding with both.
