Popcorn is a very special boy. He is semi-tame and stick-trained, but he is only available to an experienced handler. Popcorn is currently experiencing some separation anxiety due to the loss of his prior female companion. He has had a rough couple of months recently, but he is truly a well-loved bird. We believe that he is seeking the companionship of a lady again—someone who will give him all the TLC and attention he was accustomed to and deserves.

Popcorn speaks quite a few words, enjoys dancing, and bobs up and down to a good song with a strong rhythm. He prefers the company of women; while he will tolerate men, he really enjoys being cuddled by a lady. Applicants must have at least one year of experience with cockatoos, as understanding their unique personalities is essential. We strongly feel that Popcorn will do best in a home with an experienced cockatoo owner.

*We do not recommend placing Popcorn in a home with children, as he has been tormented by children in the past. While Popcorn is familiar with being around other birds, what he truly desires is companionship from a human.
Popcorn’s adoption fee is reasonable and includes his large cage and our generous care package.
